Shoutout to Brewers pitcher Adrian Houser. The righty got the call back to the Big Leagues before Sunday’s series finale against the Phillies, and he made it a memorable one by throwing up like three meals after completing his warm-up pitches. No one had a better seat in the house to lose his appetite than Travis Shaw:

Now we’re not giving Houser credit just for puking up a storm here. He actually vomited again but managed to get through the inning he was tasked with — if that isn’t true grit I don’t know what is. The fact that he gave up two hits and a run is irrelevant.
Brewers beat writer Todd Rosiak reports Houser was suffering from a combination of exhaustion and heat:
Adrian Houser was in good spirits after the game. "I got it all out," he joked. Day started at 5 a.m., flew into O'Hare, drove up to MP and arrived about 30 minutes before first pitch. Said the combination of travel and heat got to him.

But wasn’t going to let Craig Counsell pull him from the game:
Houser said he told Craig Counsell he wasn't going to let him take him out. Said Counsell: "Adrian was completely fine. It was like he was just trying to get that (vomiting) part over with."

Houser was acquired by the Brewers in 2015 in the Carlos Gomez trade with the Astros (that yielded them relief ace Josh Hader). He underwent Tommy John surgery in 2016 and has mostly pitched in the minor leagues this season, so you can understand why he was willing to die on that mount today.
