Former MLB pitcher Kevin Brown didn’t exactly have a sterling reputation during his playing days, but he probably made new fans in his Macon neighborhood after catching two alleged mail thieves on Wednesday.
According to The Telegraph, Brown’s ‘burbs have had mail theft issues of late, so the six-time All-Star went into crime watch mode and waited for the criminals to strike again from a neighbor’s yard. Sure enough they returned and Brown made a move in on them with a gun.
From the report:
A 15-year-old and another man were arrested Wednesday afternoon outside of Brown’s multimillion-dollar home off Rivoli Downs. The mailbox was ajar as the baseball star explained the situation to four Bibb County sheriff’s deputies.
Brown, who played for the Rangers, Orioles, Marlins, Padres, Dodgers and Yankees during his career, caught the two men and held them at gunpoint until deputies arrived, according to officers at the scene.
And there is your random 2018 Kevin Brown update. The guy is fiercely protective of his home turf in retirement and will go into vigilante mode if necessary.
