It’s only June but your 2018 MLB Fan of the Year, a fake award I literally just made up, is none other than Gabby DiMarco. Who is Miss DiMarco? She is the woman who made everyone fall in love during Tuesday’s blowout Braves-Padres game by simply chugging her beer after catching a foul ball with her drink. DiMarco told MLB.com Padres beat writer AJ Cassavell the ball just landed in her cup. The drinking then commenced after some peer pressure from a crowd tired of watching the Pads get whooped.
I did some sleuthing and spoke with Gabby.
"It bounced from behind me," she said. "I wasn’t trying to catch it at all, and it landed in my cup. Then everyone’s like, ‘Chug it, chug it!’"
Then her friend chimed in…

The San Diego Union-Tribune also got a hold of Gabby, and she revealed to them something you would never believe… she loves beer:
“I love beer,” she said on Wednesday. “I’m so into the San Diego beer culture with all the good beer and breweries.”
