I’m like 100 percent sure there’s no way Keanu Reeves’ John Wick ever gets killed off. He’s killed 212 foes through two movies, and there’s likely no end in sight with the franchise turning into a moneymaking machine at the box office.
That being said, the Baba Yaga is going to have his hands full in John Wick: Chapter 3. There’s a global contract out on his head, and trouble is apparently coming in the form of 7’3″ basketball hero Boban Marjanovic, who has reportedly been brought on board to play an assassin.
The details from Collider:
Los Angeles Clippers center Boban Marjanović has joined the cast of John Wick: Chapter 3, multiple sources have told Collider.
Representatives for Lionsgate and Marjanović did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
Chad Stahelski returns to direct the sure-to-be action-packed sequel, which will feature the Serbian basketball star as an assassin, according to sources. His gigantic hands could end up posing a problem for our badass hero. Marjanović stands an imposing 7 feet, 3 inches, and he previously played for the San Antonio Spurs and the Detroit Pistons.
For anyone wondering, it only took Boban four months to become a fan-favorite on the Clippers and land a role in a major movie.
Can’t wait to see him land in a John Wick kill counter montage:
