Can LeBron beat a Warriors team sans Andre Iguodala and Klay Thompson? That thought certainly ran through everyone’s mind after clumsy-ass J.R. Smith slipped and took out Klay during the first quarter of Game 1.
As you can see below, J.R. dove right into Klay’s knees after losing his footing on a closeout, which resulted in an awkward-looking left knee injury:

And just like that, J.R. turned another fanbase against him.
Klay limped his way to the locker room after the incident, but has since returned. Warriors PR tweets he suffered a left lateral leg contusion and is good to go for the rest of the game, much to the sadness of Cavs fans.
