The Detroit Tigers were very bad last season finishing out the year in last place in Al Central and 34 games below .500. This season, things are looking up a little bit 2 months in, as they’re in third place and only 3.5 games back in what has turned out to be a bad division.
Tigers fan can partly thank Nicholas Castellanos for this little bump in 2018 because he’s been playing his ass off. Right now he’s sitting at fifth in the AL in batting average at .325. He’s yet to hit over .300 in a season in his career and the way things are going now, this looks like it could the one. He’s also out there playing a little defense in right, making plays like this:

So let’s meet his girlfriend, Jess Gomez. I did a little research and found out the Nick was actually married a few years back before getting divorced in 2016. He had a son from that relationship. Now he’s settled down with Jess and things seem to be going smooth.
