If you know anything about Georgia quarterback/2017 SEC Freshman of the Year, Jake Fromm, you know he’s a big time fisher/hunter/all-around outdoorsman. Dude spends the fall on a football field and the rest of his time either in a tree stand or in a jon boat. I mean, remember when he competed in the world’s largest collegiate fishing tournament back in March? If “Good ‘ol Georgia Boy” was in the dictionary we would just put a picture of Jake Fromm in there.
So this story of Fromm getting hospitalized from a fishing lure that got stuck in his leg should come as no surprise. When you’re fishing and hunting 350 days out of the year and tearing up SEC defenses the other 15, this is bound to happen. Just a couple hours after he posted on his IG story of him holding up a nice bass, he updates it with a photo of a hook sticking out of his leg.
He didn’t seem too worried. A few stitches will heal that right up.
