The auction for the living guts of the Joe will be auctioned off that day on Orbitbid.com. The listing process is ongoing, according to the company, but we already have a strong indication as to what will be offered up at this historic sale.
Looking for a massive spotlight used at the Joe? What about a Little Caesars pop-up shop to put into your pole barn as a nostalgic piece of Detroit history? The urinals, while just a plain white urinal, will be hot items due to all the memories Red Wings fans have for those pisssers. I’m kinda partial to the giant Joe scoreboard featuring the Chevrolet logo. One of you engineer majors should be able to turn that thing into a TV.
As for the seats, you can buy them here for $150 per/minimum two, so you’re dropping $300 there and probably more for one of the urinals.
I bought a press box sign and a seat from the Silverdome and can attest that there’s something about owning a piece of Detroit sports history. I think the Silverdome seat was $100 like 5 years ago, so this Joe Louis seat at $150 isn’t that bad of a deal.
