Sammy Sosa going from brown to vampire is always a good topic of discussion around here, and we can revisit the white hot issue again as Slammin’ addressed his skin complexion during an interview with NBC Sports Chicago’s David Kaplan.
There’s nothing too crazy to report here as Sammy said what you’d expect him to say: people don’t know who he is and that he doesn’t bother to listen to negative people who are out to ruin his day. He also refers to his critics as devils, which makes sense from someone who once likened himself to Jesus.
“Those people they sometimes criticize me, they don’t know me, they don’t put food on my table and they don’t pay my bills. So when you pay my bill you have an opportunity to talk about me. Sometimes I laugh because they make a comment like they grew up with me together, like they was in the Dominican Republic and was a shoeshine boy with me together. And they make a comment like they known me for years. These people never seen me before. They never have a chance to speak to me. You don’t need negative in your life, you need positive. Why you want to listen to somebody who’s going to ruin your day? It’s impossible. I stay away from that. That’s the devil talking.”

Sidenote: Sammy mentioned that he’s now a grandfather… looks like that happened just last month.
