Third time’s the charm? That’s what the Toronto Raptors are hoping as they begin another playoff series against LeBron and the Cleveland Cavaliers. They lost 4-2 in 2016 and got their asses swept in 2017, but this time around they are getting a worn down Bron Bron with no Kyrie Irving — it’s by far their best shot of making it to the Finals.
To do so they’ll need strong performances from the usual suspects (Kyle Lowry, DeMar DeRozan), as well as Lithuanian big man Jonas Valanciunas. Big Science averaged a near double-double in Round 1 with 13 points and nine rebounds, and he’ll probably have another productive series given the Cavs’ frontcourt features the likes of K-Love, Larry Nance, and Tristan Thompson. Honestly he should absolutely feast in this matchup.
