With Ricky Rubio potentially out for most of the second round, the last thing the Utah Jazz need right now is another injury. Unfortunately for them the basketball gods have other ideas as Donovan Mitchell suffered a scary-looking ankle injury during the fourth quarter of Game 1 against the Rockets.
As you can see below, Mitchell both twisted his ankle and got stomped on by Eric Gordon (accidentally) while trying to get up to catch a bad lob pass. The entire state of Utah probably passed out at the sight of his ankle being bent in the wrong direction, but he was able to return to the game.

The good news for Jazz fans: Quinn Snyder and Mitchell both confirmed postgame it’s nothing serious:
Quin Snyder said Donovan Mitchell tweaked his ankle a little bit, but he's fine. "Obviously we wouldn't have put him back in if there was an issue," Snyder said.

Donovan Mitchell just came out of the locker room in slides, no sign of any special treatment around his ankle. Told a couple people in the hallway heβs good.

Mitchell scored 21 points (on 22 shots) and had five assists in the Jazz’s 14-point loss to the Rockets. They fought valiantly in the fourth quarter to cover the spread but sadly came up short.
