If any player on the Tigers deserves a breather for the second game of their doubleheader today, it’s Leonys Martin.
As you can see below, the Tigers outfielder crumbled to the ground after a foul ball against Jameson Taillon bounced up and into his family jewels, much to the concern of the thousands of invisible people at the game:

Clearly there’s only so much protection a cup can offer a player. That being said, Martin was a trooper and stayed in the game, which was a good thing for the Tigers because he smacked a home run just two pitches later.
