Remember A.J. Bayatpour, the Milwaukee TV reporter who punched another Milwaukee TV reporter who stepped in to defend his girlfriend (also a Milwaukee TV reporter) after Bayatpour verbally attacked the woman at a Cubs-Brewers game in early April? Yeah, well he was in court this week and he is being charged with FELONY substantial battery.
And Bayatpour lost his job at Fox6 Milwaukee. It’s very weird that Fox6 didn’t make a bigger deal out of one of their own being fired for fighting at a baseball game, but that’s their call on this one. If it were a politician you would’ve never heard the end of it. Anyway, we won’t judge here.
According to the criminal complaint, Bayatpour was involved in an argument at Miller Park on April 6. He is accused of hitting a reporter with another Milwaukee television station. That reporter was injured.
As for the TV reporter who was punched, Ben Jordan, he’s back to tweeting like a normal TV reporter. The volume has been low since The Punch, but he’s back. Bayatpour hasn’t tweeted since April 6, but he’s been liking tweets. As for the girlfriend that Bayatpour was verbally attacking, she has gone dark.
