Been jonesing to jump on a cruise ship filled with Bama fans for four days of yelling “Roll Tide” and listening to Skynard at breakfast, lunch and dinner? Well, your dream is coming true because someone went and created the Crimson Tide Cruise, a cruise for the ultimate Bama fans, grown man and woman who are willing to stand in line on a cruise ship for an autograph they can get at the mall/galleria for $10.
Players already committed to cruising with Bama fans include: Kenyan Drake, Bobby Humphrey, Marlon Humphrey, Eddie Jackson, Antonio Langham, David Palmer, Tyrone Prothro, Siran Stacy, George Teague, Prince Wimbley and Andrew Zow.
From WKRG:
The Crimson Tide Cruise will set sail on the Carnival Fantasy February 14-18, 2019. The 4-day/night cruise will set sail from Mobile and head to Cozumel, Mexico.
According to a news release, the University of Alabama athletes and staff scheduled to be onboard the inaugural cruise includes Kenyan Drake, Bobby & Marlon Humphrey, Eddie Jackson, Antonio Langham, David Palmer, Tyrone Prothro, Siran Stacy, George Teague, Prince Wimbley, Andrew Zow. Others are expected to be announced soon. Autograph sessions, charity auctions, and fundraisers will be offered to fans, along with live music and theme night costume parties.
“We’re going to turn the ship into a floating version of Bryant-Denny Stadium for four solid days and nights. I can’t wait to join the entire ship and cheer ‘Roll Tide’ as we sail through the Caribbean,” said Alan Koenig of ASK4 Entertainment, the company behind the Crimson Tide Cruise.
I’m definitely not a cruise expert, but these prices seem a little bloated. You’re looking at $800+ per person for the cheapest get on the boat option. At this price Saban better be giving me a pump up speech before seafood night. Add in the booze you’re going to drink on this trip and it’s going to be super expensive, but I know how Bama fans don’t want to be left out since this is the inaugural voyage.
Fine print: A portion of the proceeds from the Crimson Tide Cruise will benefit Nick’s Kids Foundation and The Crimson Tide Foundation.
