Canadian masher/OBP God Joey Votto already has a devout following in the sabermetric and Reds community, but he probably made a few more fans tonight — specifically in Minnesota — for giving Phillies fans a hard time.
As you can see below, Votto, who’s playing in his 200th straight game at first base, went the extra mile to troll Phillies fans by tracking down a foul ball he could have easily let go in the first inning.

Of course, this isn’t the first time Joey has given Phillies fans the business when it comes to foul balls. Two years ago he got everyone going by not throwing a dead ball into the crowd, which was definitely more disrespectful than tonight’s stunt.
