LeBron Vs. Nick Saban Beef: Bron Bron Thinks He Owns All Rights To Barbershop Shop Talk Shows

Oh boy…here we go with the beef to end all beefs. LeBron vs. Nick Saban. LeBron vs. Barbershop talk shows. LeBron vs. every guy who ever thought of doing a barbershop YouTube video. LeBron vs. The World. Just when I didn’t think there would ever be litigation against someone doing a barbershop talk show, LeBron sent his lawyers into Alabama to squeeze Nick Saban’s throat over a barbershop show.
Here’s the complaint beef from Bron’s law team:

“Your continued exploitation of ‘Shop Talk’ infringes ‘UNINTERRUPTED’s’ copyright, trademark rights and other valuable intellectual property rights in ‘The Shop’ and significantly damages ‘UNINTERRUPTED’s’ commercial prospects for ‘The Shop,'” the letter reads, in part.

That led to Nick Saban being asked about the barbershop beef:

“I think LeBron James is a great player,” the coach said. “There’s been at least 20 barbershop-type things I’ve seen. I didn’t even know he had one. I’m sorry anybody could be offended by something we were just trying to have fun with. I enjoyed it and we’re going to continue to do it.”

And that led to LeBron’s statement last night…after a game:

“I mean, I think you guys know Nick Saban more than me from a media perspective,” he said. “You guys know Nick Saban more than I do, so that’s exactly what I would think he would say. I built Uninterrupted for a reason and for us athletes to have a platform to be able to speak about whatever we want to talk about. I respect him as a coach, but I’ll be damned if I’ll allow someone to use our platform or try to do the same thing we’re doing and just think it’s OK.
“So, the lawyers will figure it out.”

Bron is out here pretty much saying he’s going to shut down any barbershop show that pops up. That’s right, that’s where we are in the world right now. Look, the only real beef Bron should have here is the logo and I have no idea if Bron, his website, ESPN, blah, blah, blah have a copyright on that logo. If so, then there’s your beef. Otherwise good luck litigating an intellectual infringement on doing a show at a barbershop.
You think Jerry Seinfeld is out here worrying about everyone doing a Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee show? Remember when Bron was in the car with Cari Champion and Durant? Total infringement! That was released in February.

Now here’s LeBron’s barbershop show:
