With a first-year head coach, you want a guy to come and take control of the program, prove that he belongs, become the alpha of the school and give his fan base something to look forward to. Dan Mullen has wasted no time doing this now that he’s back at Florida as the head coach.
This week, Mullen found himself at the UF rec center for some sort of student outreach program that allows him to get to know the people on campus. Now, instead of just showing up and talking to the students for a bit so he can hurry back to the film room, he hopped in this game of dodgeball with them.
Let me tell you, Mullen is a straight savage on the dodgeball court.

Out there looking like Billy Madison vs. a bunch of 1st graders. You see he worked in all the 5 D’s of dodgeball, so this clearly isn’t his first rodeo. This is good news for Florida fans, this is what you want out of a head football coach. You guys think Jim McElwain is hopping in this game? No chance, he’d be too busy on his boat, doing god knows what.
Mullen is a man of the people and by man of the people I mean the second coming of Patches O’Houlihan.
