Cardinals ace Carlos Martinez had himself an Opening Day to forget both on and off the field.
On the mound Carlos just didn’t have it today, as he surrendered four hits, six walks, a hit batter, and four runs in four-plus innings of work. It won’t be the last bad start he has in his life but he promptly destroyed a bunch of stuff in the dugout after getting yanked — enjoy the season’s first meltdown below:

As far as dugout outbursts go, we’d rate this one a 4/10. Yes. It’s a bit dramatic for the Game 1 of 162, but he didn’t throw punches at a Gatorade cooler, destroy a phone, or injure himself so we can’t grade it that high.
