Josh Allen is slowly but surely turning himself into the most prototypical draft QB we’ve ever seen. At some point, I think he might actually make Mel Kiper self-combust. It’s like every classic cliche QB that scouts love coming into a draft got wrapped up into one guy.
He has the measurables. The height, the hand size that evaluators drool over. He has the Jamarcus Russell cannon arm and was out there going viral with videos from his knees. He has the chip on his shoulder as a guy who wasn’t a star in college and wasn’t highly recruited. And now he has the Wonderlic to put a nice bow on everything.
Of course, Josh Allen smoked every QB in this test. It couldn’t be more perfect.
On his latest podcast, former NFL scout @JohnMiddlekauff revealed the Wonderlic scores for some of the big time QBs:
Josh Allen 37
Josh Rosen 29
Sam Darnold 28
Baker Mayfield 25
Lamar Jackson 13Here’s a link to the Pod: https://t.co/JZag3hdi5K

I’m not sure how much teams actually look into the Wonderlic, but it’s always great when these scores get leaked. We all get to judge these guys based off of some weird test, even though I’m pretty sure it doesn’t make much of a difference when it’s time to step on the field.
We’ve seen time and time again guy’s with shitty scores that turn out to be great players. We’ve also seen some guys with great scores who turn out to be very bad NFL players. Somehow this is still swinging people’s draft stock. Once again…somebody check on Mel Kiper.
Just a reminder…here are some QB Wonderlic scores from the past
- Tom Brady – 33
- Johnny Manziel – 32
- Peyton Manning – 28
- Eli Manning – 39
- RG3 – 24
- Dan Marino – 15
- Blaine Gabbert – 42
- Donovan McNabb – 14
- Aaron Rodgers – 35
- Andrew Luck – 37
- Michael Vick – 20
- Cam Newton – 21
So take that information however you like.
