Opening Day at Tropicana Field isn’t off to the best of starts as firefighters had to be called in to deal with a grease fire that broke out in the 300 level of the stadium. Red Sox beat writers say sprinklers turned on and took care of the fire, which is a little shocking given water on grease isn’t advised…
Per the Rays: There was a grease fire in the 300 level that sprinklers extinguished. That caused the smoke. Team does not expect any further impact.
