I normally wouldn’t bother to blog about a walk-off home run in spring training, but come on, Vladimir Guerrero Jr. obliterating a pitch at his father’s old stomping grounds of Olympic Stadium? That’s the type of stuff that will make you believe baseball gods are a thing.
As you can see below, the people of Montreal were treated to the happiest of endings Tuesday night as Vlad Jr. capped off the spring with a moonshot off Jack Flaherty. The fact that it came against the Cardinals should make some folks irrationally happy.

Going out on a limb here: this might make up for his favorite ice cream machine disappearing from the stadium.
For those not up on their baseball, Vlad Jr. is a blue chipper and is a consensus top-five prospect…
ESPN’s Keith Law: No. 2
Baseball America: No. 3
Baseball Prospectus: No. 4
Fangraphs: No. 3
Fun fact: MLB Pipeline likes him so much they graded his hit tool an 80, which is apparently the rarest of feats.
An 80 hit tool!? Yes, that's an 80 hit tool — the first we've ever given out. #BlueJays' Vladimir Guerrero Jr. has the highest offensive ceiling of any @MLB prospect & is No. 1 on our Top 10 3B Prospects list: https://t.co/l1C5KRCAgL pic.twitter.com/gkU1fz4tb5
