In case you haven’t heard, former Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Josh Freeman is continuing his football career in Canada. Freeman signed a two-year deal with the Montreal Alouettes in January — team GM Kavis Reed seems confident in his ability to lead an offense despite the massive falloff from his Bucs days (via Alouettes.com):
“We are very happy to welcome Josh in the Alouettes family. He has had success at every level and we feel he is a great addition to our team,” said Alouettes General Manager Kavis Reed. “Josh has talent, speed and size that will make him very interesting to watch and we feel he can run our team’s offence.”
So Freeman, unlike Johnny Manziel, is headed to America’s hat, which means he needs to unload his home in Tampa ASAP. It’s been on the market for 11 days and has an asking price of $2 million. Public records show it was purchased in 2010 for just over $1 million, so Freeman could make a nice profit here.
