The New York Mets are all down in Florida right now for Spring Training and before games start being played, it looks like new manager Mickey Callaway wanted his squad to spend their Friday night with a little team building get-together in the form of shark fishing.
Third baseman, Phillip Evans, was documenting the entire night which feature Kevin Plawecki reeling in nice a one. But the story from this night was the appearance of Donald Trump Jr. in a photo with Matt Harvey and Callaway in Evans’ IG story before it was later deleted.

The New York Daily News was the first to the catch the photo of Harvey and Don Jr and the Mets were quick to send out their PR spin that it was all just coincidental.
President Trump’s son was spotted on the Florida shores hanging out with Callaway and Mets players, according to third-base prospect Phillip Evans’ Instagram story.
Evans shared a photo, which he later erased, of Trump Jr. posing next to a caught shark with the Dark Knight. Callaway and a second shark were also in the picture.
A Mets representative reached out to the Daily News to say Trump Jr. was not there as a guest of the team and that the run in was “coincidental.”
Matt Harvey and other Mets frequently tee off at Trump National at Ferry Point in the Bronx.
Nothing is more Mets than a story making waves from a shark fishing outing.
