Eagles fans like to comment on tweets I send out when fans from other NFL teams get arrested, do something stupid or act like fools in general. They like to make it seem like they’re always being picked on for isolated incidents — their claim — over the years including booing Santa, blah, blah, blah.
I’ve said for years that I have no idea why Philly fans don’t just embrace the scumbag mentality and ride with it. Sell some shirts off of it and stop wasting so much time defending themselves when deep down they enjoy being known as the scumbag fans of the NFL. They get a complex about it.
And then things like this come up.
From WPVI:
A Whitehall Township man is charged with punching a Philadelphia Police horse over the weekend.
The alleged incident happened during Saturday’s Eagles game.
Police said 22-year-old Taylor Hendricks was ejected from the game and while he was leaving he punched a police horse on the 1100 block of Pattison Avenue.
I’ll give it 10 minutes before an Eagles fan tweets me to say Raiders fans kill people or something like that.
Even 69News was all over this one:
He was arraigned early Sunday morning, when a municipal judge set bail at $5,000 with a 10 percent cash option.
