Markelle Fultz’s Shot Still Looks Broken as Hell

In news that should deeply concern 76ers fans and excite LaVar Ball and Danny Ainge (probably), No. 1 overall pick Markelle Fultz still shoots like someone who has never shot a basketball before. Seriously. Sound the alarm bells, because the stud out of Washington appears to have lost his basketball powers and is looking like a bust.

Whether it’s this mysterious shoulder injury or not, Markelle’s out here pushing ugly threes at the rim. Your rec league teammates likely have better shooting forms than this guy:

Of course, everyone started worrying about Markelle again last week, when people saw the awkward shot make its return in London:

I don't get it, Markelle Fultz gets to the NBA and all of a sudden forgets how to shoot? pic.twitter.com/Oofz8gF0RF

Markelle, who has already missed 35 games in his rookie season, has been practicing with the team recently, but it doesn’t sound like he’ll be back anytime soon:

Brett Brown was asked if Markelle Fultz needed to be 100 percent physically to return to the court. His immediate response: “I think what he needs to be is able to shoot a basketball.”
