That is Dirk Williams from the Sheffield Sharks throwing down what some in England are calling the GOAT dunk in British Basketball League history. It came last night in a 99-94 win over Surrey. Williams, a rookie out of UAB, went for 26 points, 4 rebounds and 5 assists.

I’m not sure how the BBL standings work, but Sheffield has 16 points in the BBL Championship Round of 16.

Williams, who started 30 of 33 games a year ago for UAB his senior season, is fourth in the BBL with 36 3-pointers made and 7th in the league in rebounding.

In 30 years of watching basketball, I don’t think I’ve seen a better dunk than the one that sealed an overtime win for @SheffieldSharks tonight. Monstrous. @Dirkwilliams11 – I salute you.
