Mark Wahlberg Changes Super Bowl Story: We Left Early Because My Son Was F-Bombing

Mark Wahlberg has a new excuse for leaving Super Bowl LI when the Patriots were getting blown out by the Falcons and he’s still putting it on his son. By now you’ve heard the excuse multiple times…Mark’s son was sick and the family had to rush out of NRG Stadium to get him to the hotel. It just happened that Tommy and the boys hadn’t started their comeback.
Enter Wahlberg’s 8-year-old son supposedly making a scene in a luxury suite.
From Men’s Health:

“He was spitting out F-bombs and going crazy. It was bad,” says Wahlberg, shuddering as if he’s reliving the moment. “He was lying down on the carpet. He was very upset.” Rhea wanted to stay, but Wahlberg wasn’t having it and left with his boy.
I ask Wahlberg if his son learned a valuable lesson about not giving up on your team, and he laughs. “Heck no. He’s a vicious sore loser. He wants the ball. He hates when his brother gets it. When he doesn’t get the ball, he goes crazy. He throws rocks.”

F-bombs? C’mon, why not just say it in the first place? For some crazy reason I’m not buying this excuse. Just admit that you left early because you thought the game was over and it’s one of the biggest regrets in your life. Pinning this all on the kid isn’t remotely fair.
Look at the little one in this video from when Wahlberg left. Does the kid look like he’s out of control? He’s not even holding dad’s hand in case he goes nuts and starts swinging at security.
