The Mayweather-McGregor fight broke PPV records, as expected

We pretty much all knew this was coming, but just as confirmation, Mayweather-McGregor did MASSIVE PPV numbers. It is now the most bought fight of all-time, selling more than Mayweather-Pacquiao. Via the Review Journal:

With Showtime being near a final tally, the premium cable company said Friday that Mayweather’s technical knockout over UFC superstar Conor McGregor last Saturday at T-Mobile Arena drew more than 4 million buys. The number is currently around the 4.4 million range, but is projected to be closer to 4.8 million when the counting is complete next week, according to Showtime.

You probably float the 6.5 million PPV buys earlier this week, but apparently that took international buys into consideration. Either way, it’s still crazy how many people watched that fight.
