Bristol Does Busted Part 3 – The Rubber Match

Over the last year we’ve had a couple of encounters both with and at Bristol Motor Speedway. You may remember that time Harambe slammed beers with us and the craze that became #WGWTFA at the Battle at Bristol. Or, our time with Joey Logano and Autotrader at the Spring race where Joe couldn’t get his hands on enough sausage. So many memories, so many great things in our lives due to BMS.
This weekend we went back a third time, for a third leg if you will, at one of the most spectacular must-see races in all of NASCAR: The Bristol Night Race. #TeamAutotrader wasn’t as annoyed with us as we thought they’d be by now and they invited us to join them for their last sponsored race of the season.
Bristol is right there with Talladega and the Daytona 500 in terms of a great time. At any NASCAR race you’re going to get some great content. Like this guy:

Before things got too loose, Autotrader fed us a few Bristol Hot Laps for breakfast:

After breakfast, it was time to get hot on the trail for more content. Bristol, and any NASCAR venue during race weekend, is full of great people. Two of those people were Molly from Stilettos & Diapers and Karisa from Flirting With The Globe who were attending their first NASCAR race and had no idea what to do with themselves. For some reason Autotrader trusted me alone with them and we scoured the entire property, from midway to RV lots.
I wanted to go back to the RV stall we used during BC’s first trip to Bristol (cue the Barenaked Ladies). That stall was so good to us, it was where most of this video was shot. So I took the ladies to the old spot and about five stalls down we met Jim and Mimi from Wisconsin who had the baddest ass RV setup you ever saw.

Calling Jim and Mimi rednecks doesn’t do them the justice they deserve, but I had a Miller Lite in my hand and was trying to dump out this Twitter content real fast and it just felt right:

After the moisture subsided, we headed back to the track to interview driver of the #2 Autotrader machine Brad Keselowski. On our way there we got some more great content:

Brad was all business in the hauler – you could tell this was race day. Skip the pleasantries, get right to the Autotrader remote controlled car giveaway via Facebook Live. I was able to squeeze out a few questions from you guys on Periscope at the end and told a Dad Joke that went over like a lead balloon.

We left Brad’s and went back out into the wild where we ran into eventual race-winner Kyle Busch’s wife, Samantha. This is the best-looking pic I took all weekend:

The day eventually turned into the Night Race and on my way out I caught the best shirt I saw at the track:

Bristol did not disappoint – everyone is ready to have a conversation, chill, and enjoy a couple of beers. Even if you don’t know a single thing about NASCAR, take the family and go camping at a race track for a couple days. I know that sounds weird, and I see that face you are making, but if you like to have a great time, there is no better experience.
Speaking of awesome stuff earlier this year Autotrader’s editorial team named “12 Must Test Drive Vehicles for 2017.” Everyone at the track has awesome cars. Autotrader knows you are busy with your wife and “internet consulting business” so they’ve done all the heavy lifting for you and reviewed all the new cars.
Of all the new 2017 models, they narrowed the field to 12 cars that you #MustTestDrive. In this video Autotrader enlisted the help of #TeamAutotrader drivers Brad Keselowski and Joey Logano to demonstrate some of the things you must do when test driving a car, bringing their lives as NASCAR drivers into a regular test drive scenario.
