You guys aren’t going to believe this, but another New York Met died today when outfielder Michael Conforto, who was enjoying a monster offensive campaign with 27 bombs, went down in a heap after trying to smash a Robbie Ray fastball.

Oh, wait. This is totally believable because the Mets are basically the MLB’s version of the Clippers — it doesn’t matter if they have world-class players, the gods will still strike them down. Case in point: their 2017 infirmary pre-Conforto injury.

As for Conforto’s injury, the official Mets Twitter account confirmed it to be a left shoulder dislocation:

The Mets should just seriously consider bubble wrapping Amed Rosario and Dominic Smith in preparation for next season.
