Ole Miss may not be playing for hardware next season, but they still have one thing going for them: quarterback Shea Patterson. The sophomore who tossed for 880 yards and six touchdowns in three games last season is suddenly the guy after shady Hugh Freeze resigned last week.

Fortunately for Rebels fans, Shea doesn’t appear to be interested in transferring despite all the escort drama (via Scout.com):
“I love this university and love my teammates. With camp August 2, all I want to do is go out there and play with the brothers who I love. I can’t wait to start this new offense with (first-year Ole Miss offensive coordinator and QBs) coach (Phil) Longo. We’re all so excited about it.”
