As you can see in the tweet above, the NFL Today crew made a little trip down to Times Square yesterday to shoot a promo amid all the overweight tourists. They have a little bit of a new squad this year. Tony Gonzalez and Bart Scott are out, Nate Burleson and our boy Phil Simms are in, along with skinny James Brown who might as well be a different person.
But that video is definitely Phil making sure everyone knows he’s cool with the new gig. That he’s got everything under control and that he absolutely loves his new job. He’s totally fine with the fact that a QB stepped off the field and immediately replaced him. He’s just one of the boys with his boombox and 100% not mad deep down.
