LaVar is a master spinster, and was expectedly quick to a shoot a message over to ESPN to clear up Lonzo’s apparel situation.

Details from ESPN’s Darren Rovell:

“Lonzo is not forced to wear any brand and can play in any shoe he wants as long as it’s OK with the NBA,” LaVar Ball told ESPN by text early Thursday morning. “This is what being independent is all about.”

The Internet is probably scoffing at that statement, but LaVar has said in the past that his boys are free to wear whatever they want. “You may see them in Jordans” are words LaVar actually uttered during his sneaker segment with Complex:
