I’m not a car guy at all, but owning a Porsche seems to be a very big deal. I mean, when I went to the LA Auto Show this past December owners had their own damn VIP area where they were treated to free refreshments — baller stuff.
With that being said, if you’re interested in making the leap to Porsche ownership look no further than former NBA forward Anthony Bonner’s 1988 911 Cabriolet, which is up for auction on eBay (BIN $59,900).
Details from the eBay listing:
The 1988 Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet featured here is finished in stunning Pearl White with an impeccably kept red leather interior and black convertible top. This magnificent motorcar was tastefully upgraded by B W Motorsports LTD for former NBA Sacramento Kings player Anthony Bonner at a cost of $60,000 in the late 1990’s. This is a one of one Porsche with full cosmetic upgrades including steel wide body fenders, Strosek side scoups, pearl white paint and a hand-stitched red leather interior. Standing at a staggering 6 foot 8 inches, Bonner would rarely drive his Pearl White Porsche and to date has only collected 34,544 miles from new.
You might remember Bonner dropping 9 and 6 for the Kings and Knicks in the early-mid 90s. Nothing special, but he carved out six years in The Association before bouncing around overseas.
