I don’t know how it took me so long to see The Last Gladiators
Somehow last night was the night I finally saw the documentary The Last Gladiators, a look at hockey fighters and the life they’re left with once they leave the game. And it was great. Didn’t want it to stop. Then I wanted part two. Found myself wanting to know more about Chris Nilan and his life after the documentary. Turns out it appears Nilan’s life has been transformed after the documentary aired. @KnucklesNilan30 does radio in Montreal — seems really good at it — and appears to have found peace with a life that, as the documentary shows, was one filled with rage and a need to be apart of something with camaraderie. Haven’t seen The Last Gladiators? It’s on Amazon Prime.
