I’m going to let you in on a little secret. There’s this team in Toledo, Ohio called the Toledo Walleye. They have this incredible 8,300 or so seat arena in the middle of downtown Toledo. I know, you’re laughing. Trust me, it’s becoming one of those atmospheres you don’t want to miss. The bar scene in Toledo is incredible; you can walk a block to the arena after enjoying a great dinner, cheap drinks ($3 Buds makes things pretty simple) and a fun crowd of people. The streets are filled with people going to events ranging from weddings and proms, to Mud Hens baseball to a hockey game. Sellout crowds, bars absolutely jammed, cheaper to take Uber than it is to park your car. The city sports scene is an absolute machine. Trust me, I’ve been to a few places over the years. Toledo right now might just be one of the best sports atmospheres out there right now. Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals is Friday night. Tickets might be hard to come by.
