Did you hear how Eli Manning is in the middle of a memorabilia scandal where he reportedly asked an equipment manager to give him gear that could pass as game-used and then be given to a sports memorabilia dealer to then be sold to unsuspecting collectors?
Yeah, so the Manning case is kinda a big deal and the drama has made it all the way to the stripper world where dancers at Hoops Cabaret, a sports bar gentlemen’s club, are supporting their local hero.
The bad news: there are reportedly emails.
“2 helmets that can pass as game used. That is it. Eli,” Manning wrote to equipment manager Joe Skiba from a BlackBerry on April 27, 2010, according to the documents.
Less than 20 minutes later, Manning wrote to his marketing agent, Alan Zucker, who requested the helmets, saying: “Should be able to get them for tomorrow.”
From the Hoops Cabaret Media Office:
HOOPS Cabaret in New YorkCity (48 West 33rd Street), right next door to the world famous Rick’s Cabaret, combines the fun of a sports bar with the excitement of a gentlemen’s club.
The dancers and the staff wear sports themed outfits, and the Eli Manning jersey is one of the most popular.
“I don’t believe that Eli Manning was involved in the current uniform and gear scandal,” proclaimed Hoops Cabaret girl Melanie. “I’m sure he’s innocent.
Here are some pics of me and other Hoops girls proudly wearing his Number 10 jersey. Come see us take them off!” Haha!”
Now this is a way to bring everyone at the lawsuit table together. Make Eli pay for 16 Sundays of blowout Hoops Cabaret parties for the plantiffs. He must pay for his jersey to come off these ladies at least 5 times an hour and figure out something special when he throws a touchdown. Maybe a jersey comes off and the plantiff gets a shot.
