Guess Tony Romo will be playing for the Broncos next season now that he’s had his official visit with John Elway while in D.C. for the inauguration parties. That’s philanthropist Glenn Stearns with the two NFL legends while partying over the weekend.
Look, let’s cut to the chase here. Glenn Stearns makes things happen. John Elway makes things happen. Tony Romo needs their help to Make Romo Great Again. I assume a guy like Stearns — he knows everybody, according to photos on his FB page — could persuade Jerry Jones to let Romo breath in Denver. Worst-case scenario is you have to meet Romo in the Super Bowl. Worst case.
Elway clearly needs a quarterback and took in a 36-year-old Peyton Manning, which led to two Super Bowl appearances. Romo turns 37 in April.
Jerry, as of last week, wouldn’t commit one way or the other on Tony’s future.
