In our quest to cover just about everything in college sports, I once blogged about Oklahoma‘s feature twirler not once, but twice! It turned out that she was way less stuffy compared to the Sooners cheerleaders and posted fun pics on IG. I soon learned that the top level twirlers get scholarships and pretty much become royalty at a university.
That brings me to Clemson feature twirler Ansley Cartee. I just happened upon her account tonight while looking through national championship fan photos. Turns out she’s one of the most recognized twirlers on the college scene thanks to back-to-back national championship appearances.
Cartee, a senior, is a business management major who can juggle fire. Dreams do come true out there for the girls who go into twirling. Scholarships…bowl game swag…education.
