For the second consecutive season, Clemson running back Wayne Gallman topped 1,000 yards rushing as he rumbled for 1,087 yards and 16 touchdowns. Walter Football currently has him ranked as the 10th best running back in the 2017 NFL Draft, but first things first — a rematch with Alabama on Monday night.
In last year’s title game, Wayne totaled 106 yards and scored a touchdown despite being held in check on the ground (3.2 YPC). He’s coming off an 85-yard, one touchdown performance against Ohio State in the Fiesta Bowl, so he’ll look to build off that for Clemson’s revenge game.
Oh, and off the field Wayne’s killing it as well dating fellow Tiger, Lexi Carter. She’s a Portland transplant playing guard on the 11-3 Tigers women’s basketball team — looks like we’ll have to keep an eye out for her during tourney season.
