TNT “Shaqtin’ A Fool” segment producer Mike Goldfarb spurred online speculation today after revealing a “consensus top-five” NBA player once had his agent reach out to Shaq’s agent to avoid getting embarrassed by the TNT crew.

Considering that the league is soft as hell, this doesn’t surprise me at all.

True story: A consensus top-5 NBA player actually had his agent call Shaq's agent to ask Shaq to keep his client off Shaqtin' a Fool. 😂🤐🔒

Goldfarb notes that these requests typically fall on deaf ears:

The only real question that remains here is, “Who is the player petty enough to be worried about Shaqtin?” Javale McGee obviously has the biggest gripe with this follies segment, but he definitely isn’t elite enough to be the offender. Your choices:

– LeBron James
– Kevin Durant
– Russell Westbrook
– James Harden
– Kawhi Leonard

My guess: Either Harden or Westbrook. One guy gets often gets caught sleeping on defense while the other jacks up air ball hero shots.

I won't reveal the player because snitches get stitches. That info will have to come from @SHAQ himself. pic.twitter.com/iSE0b33Qpp
