This is the first I’ve heard about what went down during the Nevada vs. UNLV game on Saturday
I’ll let the Las Vegas Sun report what happened: UNR reclaimed the Fremont Cannon with a 45-10 victory Saturday afternoon and taunted the rival Rebels by bringing the cannon out onto the field at Sam Boyd Stadium and spray-painting the phrase “F UNLV” on the 545-pound trophy. OMFG! This might be the best rivalry game reaction I’ve ever heard of. I knew the two schools hated each other, but this is next-level hatred. This is what college football’s definitely missing — the old school controversy that used to cause hatred for another 25 years. Good for UNR, you’re making me proud out there.
