Oklahoma State defensive end Cole Walterscheid has started in every game this season, but that streak might come to an end after a drunken weekend.
According to the O’Colly, Walterscheid was arrested and charged with public intoxication Sunday after OSU police found him passed out on “an object.” That object? Oh, just a goddamn Jimmy John’s car topper:
When asked what he was doing, Walterscheid reportedly told the officer he was walking home and that he got the car topper “at work.” The officer asked Walterscheid whether he worked at Jimmy John’s, and Walterscheid replied, “No, that’s not from Jimmy John’s,” according to the affidavit.
The officer smelled a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on Walterscheid’s breath, but when asked how much he had to drink, Walterscheid said, “A little,” according to the affidavit. Walterscheid had “bloodshot, watery” eyes and a black stamp on his right hand, according to the affidavit.
When Walterscheid was again asked where he got the car topper, he told the officer he took it from “Jimmy John’s on the strip,” according to the affidavit.
The report adds Cole couldn’t couldn’t remember his social security number or his full address.
However! There is some good news for the sophomore: his beloved Jimmy John’s will not press charges against him — though they will throw shade:
This is why we can’t have nice things 👀 https://t.co/saaxHKsb0V
