You guys all know the top running back draft prospects by heart now — Leonard Fournette, Christian McCaffrey, Dalvin Cook, Nick Chubb, etc. But today we’re going to give some love to Oklahoma’s Samaje Perine after he rumbled for 214 yards and two touchdowns last week against Texas.
Walter Football has him as their seventh-best running back prospect with a 2nd or 3rd round projection. Not bad for the junior. Look out for him in a couple weeks when Oklahoma faces Kansas — Samaje only dropped 427 yards and five scores on them in 2014.
Samaje’s also doing well for himself off the field dating fellow Sooner, Meg Haney. BC Joe is always looking for potential power couples to steal the show at the NFL Draft; these two certainly qualify.
