Oh, the Browns. Just so sad. Listen, I get that tonight is preseason game #4 which already means cheap tickets because most likely the starters aren’t playing. And I get that it’s the Browns which means double the cheapness because well, they’re the Browns. But cheaper than a high school game? That shouldn’t happen for any NFL team.
Seriously, this isn’t a joke. StubHub has dozens of tickets right now available for $6 a whack.
How much will tickets to some high school games cost tomorrow night? Let’s go to Fox 8 in Cleveland for the answer:
In some cases, Browns tickets are selling for less than that. We compared that to the admission price for several high school match ups.
Saint Ignatius vs. Mentor: $9.
Stow vs. Kent Roosevelt: $6.
Tallmadge vs. Akron Ellet: $9
And here’s my favorite quote. You can’t compare the quality of football, folks.
“Although high school prices may be higher for tomorrow, Friday and Saturday’s games, the quality of football can’t be matched. It’s still professional football,” Klang said.
I think more people are going to be watching those high school games than the Browns tonight.
