It looks like Kevin Durant pulling a Judas has allowed Russell Westbrook to claim Oklahoma City as his own.
Late Thursday night, news broke that Russell would sign an $85 million contract extension to stay with the Thunder to quell all the trade speculation. The city is understandably jacked that a superstar would choose to stay with them, so mayor Mick Cornett cemented Aug. 4 to be known as “Russell Westbrook Day:”

(Man, hopefully he doesn’t leave in 2018.)
As for today’s press conference, Russell let it be known that he’s not hurting about KD leaving for the Warriors:
Reporter: "Did KD going to GSW sting?"
Russ: "Sting for who?"
Everyone: "OHHHHHH"

At this point, Russell might as well go all the way and take over the restaurant previously known as “KDs.”
