Rolando McClain’s 2016 season was already torpedoed by a 10-game suspension for violating the NFL’s substance abuse policy, but it sounds like things might somehow get worse.
Bleacher Report’s Jason Cole reports that McClain might not don a Cowboys uniform again after gaining 40 pounds from purple drank abuse.
That’s right, McClain’s apparently gone full-Jamarcus Russell and is “incredibly out of shape.”
Of course, McClain once promised that he would stay clean after getting suspended for four games in 2015 (via Star-Telegram):
“I apologize to my family, the Cowboys organization, my teammates and Cowboys fans for my mistake,” McClain said in a statement. “I will not break the rules of my profession in the future, and I regret my error.”
You probably won’t be surprised to learn McClain blew off the team’s flight to Oxnard last week.
