By now, you are all very aware of the talent on the U.S. Women’s soccer team — Alex Morgan, Sydney Leroux, Kelly O’Hara, Julie Johnston, Megan Rapinoe, etc., etc. But with the Olympics coming up, it’s on us to give you guys some non-Americans to watch for during competition.
Maybe tune into a Germany game to catch a glimpse of midfielder Melanie Leupolz. She plays for FC Bayern Munich and was awarded “Player of the Season” in 2015 by fans. Leupolz, 22, also scored a header against Thailand in the 2015 Women’s World Cup.
German soccer kicks off against Zimbabwe on Aug. 3, so set the DVRs!
