It was a tough day at the office for Orioles backup catcher Caleb Joseph on Monday.
The pitchers he caught were lit up by flaming hot Red Sox bats, and to top it off, he took a foul tip to the nether regions during the eighth inning:

Joseph did show some toughness by toughing through the nutshot to complete the game, but he was later sent to the hospital for evaluation. Buck Showalter gave a nice non-update postgame (via MASN Sports):
“He’s getting checked,” manager Buck Showalter said afterward. “Some residual from the lick he took.”
He was eventually placed on the disabled list today with a “testicular injury:”
