Brett Lawrie is having such a nice bounce-back season with the White Sox that even his flubs are working out in his favor.
With bases loaded during the eighth inning of Sunday’s game against the Royals, Lawrie made a sweet diving stop to his left, but unexpectedly fired his throw straight into the air. No worries, though — Jose Abreu ended up retrieving the ball and getting the out at home:
